A child awaits his parents at a market in Uganda
A woman carries her wares at a market in no-man’s-land at the border between Uganda and DR Congo near Bwera.
Children in their front 'yard' while watching over their mothers' table of goods for sale at the edge of Maputo Golf course, Mozambique. They were more than happy to smile and laugh for the camera.
Locals often keep their small children out of pre school as it is too expensive in Mozambique; you often find children caring for children and working at their parents' vegetable stall, liquor stalls, car washes, etc. This particular car wash we use aroudn the corner has the car wash with the barracca built in next to it. Patrons can then have a beer/coke, etc while they wait for their car to be cleaned. This little boy was obviously one of the worker's children and played on top of the barracca pool table for over an hour while we waited on our car.
